thursday afternoon is a brooklyn-based artist, tarot reader, and reiki practitioner.

self-taught and independent, their 35mm and instant photography work focuses on documenting moments from their own lived experience with LGBTQIA+ family, live music, escape to nature, and everyday magic.

their music has been recorded at home and self-released under several monikers, most recently ripstop nylon, a project inspired by one-take cassette recordings.

reading tarot came to them in 2006 after connecting immediately with the cards. after over a decade of study and attending salons at the tarot school, thursday opened their books professionally in 2018 to great success. they’ve done readings across the city for public and private events, and now offer readings remotely from home.

thursday is currently studying under lourdes gray to become a 6th generation reiki master at the john harvey gray center for reiki healing.
